What it is

Aging affects many aspects of the body. One of the most apparent is the face. An aging face loses fat, causing fine lines and wrinkles to appear. It also causes volume loss. Many patients looking to restore their youthful and refreshed look opt for dermal fillers considering their minimally invasive nature. The multiple fillers available on the market offer tailored treatments

Fillers are great for:

  • Restoring and adding volume to key areas of the face and/or hands

  • Enhancing key areas of the face such as lips and cheek bones

  • Reducing or softening the look of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Reconstructing the contours of the face

  • Restoring symmetry to certain areas of the face (see Non-Surgical Nose Job)

  • Improving decreased shadows in the lower lids (see Tear Trough Fillers)

Approximate treatment duration:

15-30 minutes

Anesthesia

Anesthesia is not required for filler treatments. It can however be administered locally if patients are sensitive to pain.

Post-Treatment Care:

You can return home immediately after your treatment. Most patients resume normal activities such as work, driving and showering right away. It is however recommended to hold off on exercise for a minimum of 24 hours. Dr Rizis will see you 2 to 3 weeks after your treatment to assess the treated area and, if needed, perform an additional treatment.
